Moneypoint U14B travelled away to face Avenue B in what turned out to be a thrilling encounter on the pitch tonight. The boys delivered an outstanding team performance in a nail-biting first half, with Adam Haggag stealing the show.
Avenue opened the scoring in the 13th minute, but Moneypoint responded instantly, Adam Haggag leveled the score moments later, then added two more in the 17th and 25th minute to complete a stunning first-half hat-trick. Moneypoint went into the break with a well-earned 3–1 lead.
The second half continued with high intensity. Lucas Mulvihil lit up the game with a screamer in the 45th minute. Adam not done yet, found the net once more in the 50th minute to make it four goals on the night for him and five for Moneypoint.
Avenue B didn’t go down without a fight, scoring twice in the 58th and 65th minutes to keep the pressure on until the final whistle. But Moneypoint held firm to secure a memorable 5–3 away win.
