Last night uur U14B team also took to the pitch and showed incredible determination and spirit in a dramatic 4-4 draw against Connolly Celtic. The visitors took an early lead, scoring twice within the first 20 minutes. But true to form, our boys never gave up. With just 10 minutes remaining in the first half, they pulled level thanks to well-taken goals from Adam H and Lucas M.
The second half began with promise, but two quick goals from Connolly Celtic put us 4-2 down with just 15 minutes to go. Despite the setback, the boys dug deep and pushed forward, creating chance after chance and showing exceptional teamwork.
Their efforts paid off when Lucas M threaded a perfect pass through to Adam H, who calmly slotted home to bring the game back to 4-3. Then, in the final minute, with everyone—including our goalkeeper—pushed up for a corner, the ball bounced loose in the box and Callum Moloney was there to fire it home and level the match.
The supports showed their joy and the coach might need a week to recover!
