A powerhouse performance from our u14A team in Bunratty yesterday evening saw us finish out with a large margin of victory.

Tadhg Moloney got the first of his 3 goals early in the game with a great strike from outside the box. This was followed by a cracking team one touch goal started at the back from Patrick Carey and calmly finished by Olaf Konieczko. An unlucky OG and another cool finish from Tadhg Moloney saw us race into a 4-0 lead. Then just before half time Patrick Carey effectively ended the game scoring a free kick from way out that the Bunratty goalie failed to gather.

Bunratty had a lot more of the ball in the second half and tested John Carey out on a few occasions but John was determined to keep a clean sheet. We managed 3 more goals before the final whistle. Tadhg Moloney finished off his hat trick after an amazing solo run on the ball. Adam Roche got on the scoresheet with a “knuckle ball” free kick and then Tymur Mikaelian got our last goal of the evening and his first ever goal for Moneypoint with a rocket into the back of the net.

This was a big turnaround from our narrow 1-0 victory against the same opponents in Kilrush at the start of the season. This shows how much our lads have improved as the season has progressed.

Man of the match tonight after his incredible hat trick is Tadhg Moloney. Tymur and Paraic Young also stood out amid a  first class team performance by the whole squad.
Congratulations boys and management
