Well done to our U8 Moneypoint AFC Girls!
Who would have thought at the beginning of the season that we’d have an all-girls U8 team? Yet here we are, and they’re growing stronger with every single game!
Today they took part in the blitz on Lees Road, and it was just fantastic to see them out there enjoying themselves. When you think about it — just 12 weeks ago, most of these girls had never even played soccer before. Not only that, but since it was an U8 blitz, many of them were playing a whole age group up.
Their confidence is building every week, and today it really started to show. In the final game, it all clicked together beautifully and the girls came away with a brilliant 4-0 win! ⚽🔥
It takes time to grow comfortable and confident on the ball, but the progress is already clear. The more they kick about at home and keep playing, the more they’ll continue to shine.
We are so proud of every single one of them — what a team, what a journey, and this is only the beginning! 💙💛
