Community Games U15 Futsal – Ennistymon
Some of our local members took part in the Community Games this weekend.
Kilrush made the long trek to Ennistymon today for the Community Games U15 Futsal (Indoor Soccer) tournament.
It was the boys’ first ever appearance in this competition and that showed in the opening game, as they were beaten 5–1 by a strong Doora Barefield side. The fast pace of futsal caught our lads by surprise early on.
However, they showed fantastic character in the 3rd/4th place playoff, bouncing back in style to defeat Crusheen/Tubber 6–4. There were some superb goals scored, and the lads certainly restored pride after the opening game 😀
The Kilrush panel was: John Browne, John Carey, Thomas Kelly, Olaf Konieczko, Calum Moloney, Roan O’Mahoney, Liam Whelan and Pairic Young.
