Moneypoint AFC 1 – 1 St. Pats
Moneypoint started brightly and took a deserved early lead after just 3 minutes, when Hayden Keane converted a penalty—his first goal for his new club.
The home side continued to press and were unlucky not to double their advantage, with Shay Mulvihill attempting an audacious chip from the halfway line that narrowly cleared the crossbar.
St. Pats responded well and found a deserved equaliser, leaving it all square at 1–1 going into half time.
The second half was a lively, end-to-end affair with both teams creating plenty of chances. Moneypoint goalkeeper Oscar Harte was in excellent form, making several key saves to deny St. Pats.
Overall, it was a strong team performance in Moneypoint’s first game of the season, with plenty of positives to take going forward.
