Our U13 girls made their first ever outing in the club’s history away to Ennis Town last week.
Unfortunately, it wasn’t to be our day, as a very strong and experienced Ennis side came out on top.
Despite the result, the defeat certainly didn’t dampen the girls’ spirits. They played some lovely football at times and showed great determination throughout.
Considering the team has only been together for a few weeks, there are very positive signs of growth, with confidence and experience sure to come with each game.
It was fantastic to see these young girls represent the club with such pride, a real credit to themselves. There are definitely better days ahead for this team.
Well done to captain Ruth Blunnie, and a special mention to Sophia McAuley for an outstanding performance.
A big thank you also to all the parents for travelling and for your continued support.
Training Tuesday night 7.15 to 8.15 Astro
Home Game Friday v Newmarket Celtic 6.30 KO
Please support the girls on their soccer journey
