Moneypoint started brightly with Roan Mahony opening the scoring with a superb left foot strike from outside the box. A couple of minutes later, Roan grabbed his second of the game with an absolute screamer from 25 yards, firing a right foot shot into the top corner. Just before half time,
St Pats pulled one back to leave it 2-1 at the break.
We started the second half well and Cillian Cotter added our third goal after latching onto a kick out from John Carey.
Soon after, Moneypoint were reduced to 10 men when John Carey was sent off.
Jack Walsh stepped into goals and produced a brilliant penalty save to keep us ahead.
St Pats scored again with 10 minutes remaining from a well taken free kick, but the lads showed great determination and character to hold on for a deserved win.
A big thank you as well to our two U13 players, Cian Behan and Fayez Noorbeek, who lined out with us this evening and both played very well.
