Great entertainment was on display in Gallery Park this evening as the U12s returned to winning ways with a hard-fought victory over Kilkishen.
Kilkishen took an early lead, but Moneypoint responded in style with a quickfire hat-trick from Shay Mulvihill. Reece Danagher then added a fourth before the break to give Moneypoint a strong advantage heading into halftime.
Kilkishen struck again shortly after the restart, but Darragh Haugh responded with Moneypoint's fifth goal of the evening. The visitors refused to go away and pulled another goal back before Reece Danagher grabbed his second of the night to make it 6-3.
Kilkishen continued to battle and added two more goals to set up a tense finish, but Darragh Haugh made sure of the victory with his second goal of the game, sealing a deserved 7-5 win for Moneypoint.
A tremendous team performance from all involved, with great determination, teamwork and attacking footwork on show throughout the evening.
