⚽️🌞 A Day to Remember for our U7s & U8s 🌞⚽️
Today marked a very special milestone for our youngest players as both our U7s and U8s took part in their very first blitz in Lee's Road, Ennis.
🔵🟡 U7s
Our U7s played a total of four games in glorious sunny conditions. The boys got off to a slow start, losing their first game, but quickly found their feet and responded brilliantly by winning their next two matches.
Fatigue eventually caught up with the squad in their final game, as low numbers meant every player played every minute of every match.
The determination, effort and teamwork shown by every player was fantastic and they should all be extremely proud of themselves.
🔵🟡 U8s
The Moneypoint U8s also enjoyed their first blitz of the season and what a day it was! The boys got off to a flying start with a 4-0 victory in their opening game.
Confidence was high going into game two and they followed it up with another excellent win, this time 3-1.
Despite the warm conditions, the energy, enthusiasm and commitment shown by every player in game three was outstanding as they secured a third consecutive victory.
After giving everything they had throughout the day, tired legs eventually took their toll in the fourth and final game, where they narrowly missed out on a clean sweep.
There were plenty of goals, brilliant saves and fantastic passages of play throughout the day from both teams.
A huge thank you to all the parents, families, brothers and sisters who travelled and supported the teams today. Most importantly, great fun was had by all.
We are incredibly proud of our U7s and U8s who represented themselves, their families and Moneypoint AFC with great pride, enthusiasm and sportsmanship.
