An elite performance keeps the girls’ cup dreams alive as they progress into the next round! 🏆🔥
Moneypoint took the lead early through a penalty from captain Kate. Bunratty/Cratloe fought back hard and brought the game level twice, but these Moneypoint girls showed incredible character, determination and belief.
In the end, the girls were simply too strong and pulled away in the final five minutes with three brilliantly worked team goals, coming from Allie, Claire, and Kate. ⚽⚽⚽
While there was plenty of attacking flair on show, huge credit must also go to the incredible work rate through midfield and defence, with Síofra stopping anything that came her way. 👏
There were fantastic performances all over the pitch, and the girls fully deserved this win. The hard work, commitment and effort they have been putting in on the training pitch is really beginning to show.
And today also showed just how much it means when every player turns up. 💛💙 Having the full squad there gave the girls options, fresh legs, energy and the ability to keep pushing right until the final whistle — and those three goals in the last five minutes showed exactly what a difference that can make.
Every single player has a role to play, whether starting the game or coming on to make an impact, and today was a true squad performance from beginning to end. 👏🔥
