U9 Boys v Moher Celtic 

Another brilliant performance from our U9 Boys this evening. While the result didn't go our way, the effort, determination and quality of football on display made everyone at the club incredibly proud.

After the long trip to Liscannor, it took us a little while to settle into the game. We found ourselves 2-0 down after a couple of long-range strikes before we broke away and pulled one back. We were still a little slow to get going and sat too deep defensively, making it difficult to play our usual football, allowing Moher to extend their lead to 5-1.

The response from the boys in the second half was outstanding. They showed incredible character, teamwork and belief, fighting back to make it 5-4. The football they played was excellent, with some fantastic skill and passing on display. 
 We had Moher pinned back in their own half for long periods, creating chance after chance, hitting the crossbar and side netting several times. Only a superb performance from the Moher goalkeeper kept us from drawing level.

Late on, Moher managed to break away and an unfortunate own goal while our defender was trying to make a brave clearance sealed the result.

The final score certainly didn't reflect the performance. Every single player gave everything, never stopped working for each other and showed fantastic sportsmanship throughout. 

These boys continue to improve week after week, and their attitude, teamwork and determination are a credit to themselves, their coaches and the club.
