U11 Boys Shield Quarter Final
Moneypoint AFC 4–1 Bunratty Cratloe
A fantastic performance from our U11 boys saw them book their place in the Shield semi-final with a well-deserved 4-1 victory over Bunratty Cratloe.
Moneypoint made a bright start to the game, with Matthew M opening the scoring with an excellent finish. The boys created several more chances to extend their lead, but Bunratty responded with an equaliser to make it 1-1.
Just before half-time, Tom C restored Moneypoint's advantage, giving the home side a 2-1 lead at the break.
Bunratty came out strongly in the second half, but some outstanding defending from the Moneypoint lads kept them at bay. Midway through the half, Stephen K added a third goal to put Moneypoint firmly in control before George L sealed the victory by scoring directly from a corner to make it 4-1.
The team has had a few disappointing results in recent weeks, but the boys never stopped believing, continued to work hard, and fully deserved this win. A brilliant team performance from start to finish.
This team is a real example of NEVER STOP BELIEVING, ALWAYS SHOW UP & WORK AS A TEAM!
