Moneypoint AFC U15A made it two wins from two with an impressive 5-2 victory over Avenue United on home soil this evening, continuing their excellent start to the new season.

The home side couldn't have wished for a better opening, racing into a two-goal lead inside the first ten minutes. Adam O'C opened the scoring with a composed half-volley from close range before Adam R doubled the advantage moments later with a stunning strike from outside the box.

Moneypoint took their 2-0 lead into the break after a solid first-half display, although Avenue continued to pose a threat and created a number of chances of their own.

The visitors pulled a goal back early in the second half, but Moneypoint responded immediately. A superb cross from Adam O'C found TJ L, who rose highest to power a header into the net and restore the two-goal cushion.

Avenue refused to give up and capitalised on a loose clearance with ten minutes remaining to make it 3-2 and set up a tense finish. However, Moneypoint showed great composure and finished the game strongly.

Adam Roche grabbed his second goal of the evening when he reacted quickest after a corner wasn't fully cleared, smashing the ball into the net. Adam O' C then completed his own brace with a brilliant low finish across the goalkeeper into the far corner to seal an excellent 5-2 victory.

Two wins from two gives Moneypoint AFC U15A their best-ever start to a season.
